Challenge Cup quarter-finals details announced with broadcast coverage confirmed

Wigan Warriors will travel to Castleford Tigers for the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup on Sunday, April 14.

Details for all four ties have been announced, including broadcast coverage on the BBC.

The quarter-finals will see a rematch of last year’s final with Adrian Lam’s winning Leigh Leopards to take on Hull KR on Saturday, April 13, live on BBC 2 from 5:00pm.

Meanwhile St Helens’ home tie with Warrington Wolves has also been selected for coverage on the Sunday (3pm), with Catalans Dragons to host Huddersfield Giants on Saturday at 7pm.

Darts aces Joe Cullen and Michael Smith, Wigan Warriors and St Helens supporters respectively, conducted the draw during BBC 5 Live’s ‘The Monday Night Club’ earlier this week.

20-time cup winners Wigan secured their place in the next stage following a 44-18 victory over Championship side Sheffield Eagles at the DW Stadium during the sixth round.

Matt Peet’s side will now travel to The Mend-A-Hose Jungle three times this season, having opened their Super League campaign with a 32-4 win against Craig Lingard’s side.

The reigning Super League champions will visit again later in June for a loop fixture in round 14.

The draw for the semi-finals will take place at half-time during the St Helens versus Warrington match, with those ties to be played on the weekend of 18/19 May.

The Men's 2024 Challenge Cup final is part of a triple-header at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 8 June alongside the Women’s Challenge Cup final and the 1895 Cup final.
