It’s not the first time Makin has linked up with London Broncos, having featured in their 20-18 win against Batley Bulldogs last June.

He also represented Oldham last season, scoring his first senior try in the close 28-26 defeat to Doncaster in the Challenge Cup before beating Cornwall 36-16 in League 1.

Makin, who signed his first Wigan contract in 2020, also featured during the club’s pre-season schedule in the win against Midlanes Hurricanes.

Speaking of the loan move, Wigan’s transition coach John Duffy said: “Harvey has spent around a month with Championship side Barrow, and we would like to put on record our thanks to them for assisting in his journey and development.

“London will provide an opportunity for that next step up which we feel Harvey is up to and we look forward to seeing him develop playing at Super League level.”

Mike Eccles’ side remain at the bottom of the Super League table, still searching for their first win of the season following their promotion from the Championship.
