Campaigners for a vegan world take message to the streets of Wigan
Wigan Vegan Advocacy gave out leaflets and food samples in Market Place as they explained to Wiganers the ethical, environmental and health benefits of a plant-based diet.
The group is the creation of Appley Bridge 23-year-old Lauren Holden, who wanted to spread the word in her home borough after joining similar groups in Manchester.

Hide AdLauren said: “We don’t agree with the way the meat and dairy industry treats animals and the suffering that goes on.
“We also think a vegan diet is the best thing for the environment and for our bodies. So far people have been quite receptive.”
