Matthew Emmison, 36, of Defiance Street, Atherton, appeared before Wigan justices to admit being at the wheel of a BMW 118i which damaged another vehicle on Atherleigh Way then drove off without reporting it to the police.

Hide AdHe pleaded guilty to careless driving, failing to stop after an accident and having neither insurance nor a valid licence. Emmison was ordered to pay fines, court costs and a victim services surcharge totalling £690.
