Owner in vet fees appeal after horror dog attack
Katherine Stuart, from Leigh, has set-up the Go Fund Me page after her Yorkshire Terrier was pounced on by two Parson Russell Terriers.
The incident, which took place on June 17 in the garden of her friend Becky Finerty, has left seven-year-old terrier Alfie with horrific injuries and requiring regular treatment.

Hide AdKatherine, 39, of Laxey Crescent, said she had been left “shocked” when she was told about the incident which happened when she was in work.
She said: “Becky was looking after my dog when another neighbours two dogs jumped from the fence and set upon Alfie.
“They ripped him apart.
“My partner Nick, daughter and Becky all managed to get the Parson Russell Terriers off him but they were also bitten and injured in the process and I’m shocked what’s happened.”
The attack has left Alfie needing several rounds of surgery which will add up to costs of more than £1,000.

Hide AdKatherine said: “They’re having to remove a big piece of skin of his back as the infection is to bad.
“Then he’s needing to have some fake skin to help with the healing.
“Alfie has had all the skin removed off his back and needs to stay like this for a f ew days.
“They need to sedate him every night so they can change the dressing and it give it a clean.

Hide Ad“He’s hoping to have a third round of surgery in a few days to make him so new skin.
She added: “The vets bill has already added up to more than £1,000 so any help would be appreciated.”
