Millie’s Cookies shut up shop earlier this month, following the lead of a host of big-name retailers to depart Wigan town centre.
Customers took to Wigan Today’s Facebook page to express their views on the closure.

Hide AdDiane Thompson sympathised with staff and said: “I hear everyone’s opinions. It’s the staff I feel for probably losing their jobs through no fault of their own.”
Jessica Carla tagged a friend and added: “We need to find somewhere else to shop!”
Michael Turner also tagged a friend and said: “No birthday cookie this year then!” – referring to a popular item sold at the stall.
Emily Millicent said: “I loved it there back in the day!”
Many commenters referred to changes in the town centre, after a number of firms shut up shop.

Hide AdNeil Farnworth said “No shopping left in Wigan every shop is leaving or has left.”
Matthew Brown said: “Used to go into town twice a week. Only go once a week now nothing much to go in for.”
Sarah Thompson added: “No shops worth going for anymore.. Such a shame compared to what it used to be like!”
Damian Pemberton outlined why he believes the high street is suffering, saying: “Local or small businesses can't compete with the way most of us have to live. Online shopping to fit around work and childcare.”
Michael Higham said: “Wigan isn’t the only town suffering this in the north west or the country.”
