Bolton West & Atherton MP, Chris Green, has welcomed the unprecedented economic support delivered by the Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, to protect jobs and businesses during the coronavirus outbreak.

Hide Ad• 12,000 workers have been furloughed through the job retention scheme
• A further 3,100 claims were made to the Self-Employment Income Support scheme
• 1,975 additional people receiving welfare support since March
Commenting on the emergency financial package, Mr Green said: “This is undoubtedly a challenging time for many of my constituents and local businesses, which is why I am pleased that support is being provided to those that need it.
