Substitutes got Wigan Athletic out of jail - Cook
Despite under-performing across the board, and deservedly trailing to Liam Sercombe’s first-goal, a late rally saw Latics rescue a draw to stay a point clear at the top of League One with two matches to go.
Colclough levelled with 10 minutes to go with a fine strike, while Cole saw another ‘goal’ chalked off for what appeared to be a very debatable offside call in an exciting finale.

“It was a tough night for us, and we never managed to get a foothold in the game.
“In the first half, especially, we didn’t offer much threat at all.
“I don’t like to single out individuals, but Devante again has come on and influenced the game.”

“He’s been asked to make saves tonight, and the double save he’s made just before half-time was as good as you’ll see,” enthused Cook.
“Bristol Rovers have to take a lot of credit, they’re a good side.
“When they have their full team out, they’re a match for anyone in this division.”

“Massive congratulations to Blackburn, they’ve been on a great run,” added Cook.
“I also wish Shrewsbury well in the play-offs, because they’ve had an unbelievable season.
“It would be really nice if they could go up as well.”
