Wigan Athletic star on Terriers test
Latics saw their attempts to record a fourth victory in a row thwarted last weekend by the rock-bottom Hatters, who dug in and defended for their lives.
For their part, Latics were below-par, and missed a golden chance to take all three points in stoppage-time when Michael Jacobs’ shot was brilliantly saved by Hatters goalkeeper Simon Sluga.

“I would say the draw was hard to take,” Kipre told the Wigan Post.
“We really needed the three points, I think we played well and we deserved to win.
“But a point is a point, they all count, so we’ll take it and move on.

“It’s another point on the board, we are continuing to move in the right direction.”
The clash at the John Smith’s Stadium is no less important, given the Terriers lie a single point above Latics in the Championship ladder.
“We have nine games left now, and they are all very, very important,” acknowledged the 23-year-old defender.

“But we will be aiming to get the three points, as we do no matter who we are playing, that’s always the goal.
“But if we can’t get the win, as was the case against Luton, the important thing is to not lose the game.
“If we can keep another clean sheet, we will not lose the game, it’s more points for the total, and closer to where we want to be.”
