Wigan Warriors players return to Robin Park for coronavirus testing

They will report to the Robin Park training centre for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic halted the season in March.
Players and coached will be tested for Covid-19 while other safeguarding measures will be explained ahead of a planned return to training the following week.

Hide AdHalf the clubs in Super League, including Wigan, have yet to reach an agreement with their players over pay cuts for the rest of this season.
But they have been in regular contact with the GMB Union, whose representative Garreth Carvell had suggested an agreement was close to being struck.
Clubs have taken a huge financial hit during the lockdown and when the season resumes, as they rely on cash made from home matches. As well as that loss of revenue, they will each receive around £300,000 less from the Sky Sports contract.
The fixtures for the rest of the season are expected to be confirmed this week.

Hide AdWigan, top of the table, have 15 Super League rounds still to play of the shortened, 22 round campaign.
The early games will be behind closed doors at neutral venues, with the first full round on the weekend of August 8.
League chiefs have been encouraged by the government’s suggestion limited crowds may be allowed inside grounds from September.
With that in mind, it is expected that clubs’ most attractive ties will take place later on, in the hope season ticket holders may be able to see them live.
Their Challenge Cup tie against Warrington will be on the August 22 weekend.
